Dancing With Elephants
Big cats, slinking low and stealthy across the plain. Ever so slowly they move until just the right moment when they have their prey in position. Then suddenly they are on all fours, running very quickly. Too late, the antelope sees them. The chase is on. Quickly, the cats overtake the prey and bring it down with their superior speed and agility. Dan is aroused to ejaculation. Oh, how he would love being like one of those big cats stalking his prey and bringing it down. What a feast he would have. Only his prey would be human. From the author’s journal
Mr. Hyde The sight of my table pushed against the front door flooded my mind with memories of last night’s very long session with Dan. "Turn over on your stomach, please," I instructed Dan shortly after we started last night. He turned over momentarily and quickly returned to his back. "She used to sit on my back," he whispered. I asked him to say "A river of love flows through me." "It is more like a river of hate and I can’t say that now. Not now," he said. "Can you tell what I am thinking?" "No, but I don’t have to know what you're thinking to help you. That is the beauty of energy work. However, I would say it is most likely ‘Who the hell are you?’" a question he has asked me many other times. "Marie, I don’t know why I trust you so much." "It is a two-way street, because to continue working with you I have to trust you too. After all you have told me, I have to be either crazy or trusting to keep this up." "You helped me release Symba, but there is another part still here," he said as his body started shaking. His legs twisted and his middle lifted off the table as his whole demeanor changed. "Did you really think you would get rid of us so easily?" He chided me. This was definitely not Dan's voice. "Who are you?" I asked. "I am Mr. Hyde. That pussy cat Symba let you lead him away far too easily." "He did, why do you say that?" I asked. "We ran Dan's life together. Now I have to do it by myself, but I can handle it." "Wouldn’t you like to go join Symba, I bet he's having lots of fun." "I'm not going anywhere," Mr. Hyde said very softly, yet menacingly. "Not even where Symba went?" I asked. "Where did he go?" he asked. "He went to a place where he could be who he really is," I replied. "And where would that be?" he asked, sarcasm dripping from his words. "I like scaring women. It gives me the high I exist on so I'd better be able to do it there," he said. "But then, I'm not going anywhere," he taunted me, his very soft voice brushing my ear. I was sitting at Dan's head, with my hands by the sides of his temples. Dan reached up, touched my right hand with his, and Mr. Hyde said, "Would you go with me?" "I can send part of me, yes." I answered. "I will just love you. Fear can't live where love flows." "But that’s no fun. The fun is seeing the fear," he reminded me in his velvety voice. "This is a vast universe. There are places where you would be perfectly at home. You could be who you are, and get your kicks, maybe even catch up with Symba," I offered. "Well, maybe, we did make a good team until you came along and spoiled our fun." Dan said, "This energy gets me motivated and moving. I can’t just let it go." "Dan, What if you keep just the part of Mr. Hyde that gets you motivated and release the part that needs to scare people." Dan turned over on his stomach, faced me and asked, "Could that be the answer? Could it be that way?" "Dan will be so boring without me," Mr. Hyde chimed in. "Yes, let’s work on it," Dan and I said together. I asked Dan, "Do you realize you are on your stomach and seem to be OK?" The realization hit him hard. "She used to sit on my back, it made me so angry," he said. "When I was seven years old, I would masturbate and think about having sex and then killing and eating my partner." "Shall we do this, then?" I asked Dan. "Yes, let's do it." He turned over onto his back; I put my hands under his head and pressed my fingers into the notch at the base of his skull. "Dan, repeat after me, please: 'I acknowledge you Mr. Hyde as my protector when I needed protection. I thank you for being here and serving that purpose. Now that part of your purpose in my life is complete. At this time, for the highest good of all concerned, I wish you well and release you.'" Dan finished the session feeling very relieved. After only three sessions he was already so much better. I, on the other hand, felt more than a little overwhelmed. Pushing my table against the front door was my way of coping with the emotions generated by my interactions with Dan. Somehow, doing that made me feel better. During breakfast, I pondered the events leading up to last night's experience.
